Keys and Mouse Reference

This section describes the keyboard and mouse shortcuts of MockupUI.

Menu shortcut keys

Alt+F: File Menu. Show the file menu

Ctrl+N: Open a new project window

Ctrl+O: Open an existing project

Ctrl+S: Save the current project

Ctrl+W: Close the current project window

Ctrl+Q: Quit MockupUI

Alt+E: Edit Menu. Show the edit menu

Ctrl+Z: Undo last action

Ctrl+Shit+Z: Redo last undone action

Ctrl+X: Cut. Remove the selected widget and put it onto the clipboard

Ctrl+C: Copy. Put a copy of the selected widget onto the clipboard

Ctrl+V: Paste. Paste the last widget found on the clipboard to the current design

Ctrl+D: Duplicate. Create a copy of the current widget and add it to the design

Ctrl+L: Clone. Create a clone of the current design

F2: Rename. Change the name of the current widget

Del: Delete. Remove the current widget

Alt+V: View Menu. Show the view menu

Alt+W (Window Menu): Show the window menu

F11: Full screen. Maximize the window to the size of the screen. In the full screen mode the project window has no border and no title bar

Alt+1: Show/Hide the Toolbox panel

Alt+2: Show/Hide the Parmeters panel

Alt+3: Show/Hide the Design browser

Alt+4: Show/Hide all panels

Design area

Scrolling

Ctrl+Right Button+Mouse Move: Hold down the Ctrl key and the Right Button and drag the screen by moving the mouse.

Widgets

Left Click + Drag a widget from the toolbox onto the design area or the design browser. This will insert the widget into the selected design.

Left Button + Mouse Move: Move the selected widget. Hold Mouse Left Button inside the widget and move the mouse to change the position of a widget.

Hold Mouse Left Button over a border + Mouse Move. Resize the selected widget.

Image widget

Hold Shift + Spin Mouse Wheel. Upscale or downscale the image inside the selected widget.

Hold Shift + Ctrl + Spin Mouse Wheel. Changes the angle of rotation around the center of the image.

Hold Shift + Mouse Move. Changes the position of the image horizontally and vertically inside an image widget.

Widget pop-up menu

Ctrl+X: Cut: Remove the widget from the design and put it onto the clipboard.

Ctrl+C: Copy: Put a copy of the widget onto the clipboard.

Ctrl+V: Paste. Paste the widget found on the clipboard into the currently selected design.

Ctrl+D: Duplicate: Create a copy of the widget and add it to the currently selected design.

F2: Rename: Change the name of the widget.

Del: Delete. Remove a widget from the design.

PageUp: Bring widget to front.

PageDown: Send widget to back.

Design browser pop-up menu

Ctrl+X: Cut. Remove the design from the project and put it onto the clipboard

Ctrl+C: Copy. Put a copy of the design onto the clipboard.

Ctrl+V: Paste. Paste the design found on the clipboard after the currently selected design.

Ctrl+D: Duplicate. Create a copy of the design and paste it after the currently selected design.

Ctrl+L: Clone. Create a clone of the current design.

F2: Rename. Change the name of the design.

Del: Delete. Remove a design from the project.
